So you had planned to put your home on the market, but you have fears of getting top-dollar during this crisis. You may see stories in the news stating the real estate industry is taking a dump. Even the Review Journal has posted a few articles that might lead you to to believe it would be an uphill battle to sell your home in Las Vegas or Henderson. Not to worry.
The stigma that has been historically associated with a home’s “days on market,” as it relates to home sales is soon to be a thing of the past.
The real estate market is definitely not operating in a traditional manner during the coronavirus pandemic but real estate professionals, myself included, have been working behind the scenes to ensure that the industry remains a safe haven amidst an upside-down world.
There are still an incredibly large amount of unknowns out there but I am doing my best to operate after the shocking developments that came in March.
As a licensed Realtor with years of experience selling homes in the Las Vegas Valley, I rely on what I actually see happening in the market. My seller activity and the sales activity of other top producing agents. I also look at statistics. Guess what? Homes are going on the market every day. Homes are selling every day. Properties are going under contract every day. The real estate agents that are actively doing business, as I am are simply having to observe new protocols on getting deals done.
Granted, open houses are not happening at the moment, but virtual tours are. Private showings with safety elements in place are happening every day. As a Realtor, I just have to sell your home with new strategies. These strategies are working.
While some areas of the country are tanking because of excess inventory, the Las Vegas Valley inventory is at an all time low which makes this a “sellers market”. Land prices are going up. People are still relocating here. Mortgage rates are at an all-time low as well.
My point is this. The pandemic and resulting shutdown is horrible, but homes are still selling for top dollar in this real estate market. I assure you if you hire me to sell your home, I will aggressively represent you and will follow the most stringent safety guidelines.
